04/04/2003 8:30 PM TGI Fridays
Tsevis' 4 TGI Friday's 6
Tsevis' luck ran out this game with the boys suffering their first lost since
moving to Brentwood. TGI Fridays rallied with 3 unanswered goals in the third
period to win the game 6-4 and advance in the playoffs. This game was definitely
a roller coaster ride with Tsevis scoring the first goal in the first period,
answered by two Friday's goals. In the second, Fridays scored again to make
the score 3-1. Tsevis answered with 3 goals in a row to take the lead 4-3
in the third period. That's when Friday's had their two goal run to take
the lead with under two minutes left. A timeout was called and the goalie
was pulled which allowed Fridays to score an insurance goal from beyond the
centerline.

03/14/2003 11:30 PM Runts
Tsevis' 8 Runts 1
First of all, let me preface this recap by saying I never know why the Runts
are below 500 in this league. I think they always play us tough and seem
as good (to me) as many of the teams ahead of them in the standings. That
said, this game was pretty much a repeat of the last game we played the Runts,
with Tsevis' scoring fairly steadily throughout the game. I don't remember
very much about the game. The first period ended 2-0 Tsevis'. In the second
period, a Runt split the defense on a long outlet pass for a breakaway which
he finished. Tsevis' came right back and from there, the game was all Tsevis's.
The peroid ended with the score 5-1. Tsevis got 3 more in the 3rd, the last
one with several seconds left in the game. The game was a little tought because
we were a little short on guys (at least sober ones) unit Kevin H showed
up in the second period.

03/07/2003 11:30 PM Hacienda Notes
Tsevis' 8 Notes 1
The Notes scored first in this game, taking advantage of a turnover in Tsevis'
zone. That would be the extent of the scoring for the Notes in this game.
Tsevis came back to score two more goals in the first period to make the
score 2-1 at the end of the first. Tsevis' scored two more in the second
period. The last period was all Tsevis' with four goals scored. The Notes,
who are very vocal about not wanting us in this league, hacked throughout
the entire game and did a good job of pushing our guys out from in front
of their net. Based on this game, we shouldn't be in the same league as them.

02/28/2003 8:30 PM Undertakers
Tsevis' 8 Undertakers 3
Tsevis' got off to its usual fast start in the first period scoring a goal
in the first shift. Even though the first period was dominated by Tsevis',
the Undertakers came back to tie the score 1-1. We scored two more in the
first and moved into the second period with the score 3-1. Now the rap on
the Undertakers is that they play tough in the first period (in one game
they were leading us 2-1) but if you can get a few goals ahead, they fold.
This appeared to be the case tonight. With the second period all Tsevis'
and the score 7-1 going into the third, the game seemed to be in the bag.
In fact, one player on the Undertakers (the tall, layne staley looking guy)
quit in frustration. That seemed to spark the Underakers in the 3rd period.
They really hustled and took advantage of Tsevis' penalties. They scored
two goals in the 3rd period to make the score 7-3 and pulled their goalie
with several minutes left to try to make it even closer. This led to an empty
net goal for us at the buzzer (the goal was good but the refs were waving
it off). Final score 7(8)-3. Hats off to the Undertakers who gave us a game
when we thought the game was over and played better without their quitter
who thought he was too good for the team. Lesson: we have to remember to
play ALL three periods, letting teams back in the game is a bad habit to
get into.

02/14/2003 8:30 PM Hat Trick Consulting
Tsevis' 9 Hat Trick 2
This game got off to a slow start for Tsevis'. We scored just one goal in
the first period. There were numerous chances but we just couldn't seem to
bury the puck. Hat Trick's ringer '007' showed up to play midway through
the first period, at he usually does. In the second period Hat Trick tied
the game with a single man rush down the center of the ice all the way to
the goal. Tsevis responded with several goals and the period ended with the
score 4-1. Hat Trick got one more goal in the third but the rest of the game
was all Tsevis with the final score being 9-1. The game was called with a
few minutes left due to some last minute ugliness.

Tsevis' 9 Fischer's 1
Tsevis went to 5-0 (15-0) this game playing the last team in the league.
We scored 5 goals in the first period, 4 goals in the second, and gave one
up in the third with 20 second left in the game. This left the Chargers something
to build on for their next game. The game was mostly uneventful except for
the poor condition of the ice, resulting in many skates flying in the air.

01/31/2003 10:00 PM Fischer's
Tsevis' 9 Fischer's 5
O.K. This game sucked right from the beginning. 10 seconds into the first
period, Fischer's scored on a defensive turnover right off the faceoff. On
the ensuing faceoff, Tsevis' took the puck down and scored the equalizer;
score 1-1 at the end of the first shift. Fischer's would score one more in
the first period to make the score 2-1 at the start of the second. The second
period was seesaw, Tsevis' scored (2-2), Fischer's scored (3-2), Tsevis'
scored (3-3), Tsevis' scored (4-3). Things were finally starting to look
like they were going our way; but they weren't. Fischer's intercepted a pass
to get a breakaway with which they made no mistake (4-4). A double minor
penalty gave them a power play opportunity which they took advantage of to
end the period 5-4. Fischer's played a conservative third period, holding
the lead until there were 7 minutes left in the game. Tsevis then went on
a scoring binge, netting 5 goals in the remaining minutes to give this game
the appearence of a blowout. We were lucky to get this one.

01/24/2003 11:30 PM Runts
Tsevis' 6 Runts 1
Last time, we played the Runts, they stuck to a disiplined plan of dump and
chase. In this game, they tried a different tactic of playing more defensively
and keeping an extra man back. While they did dump the puck in our zone the
entire game, they seemed to lack the chase which caused us some problems
in the last game. Tsevis dominated the both the neutral zone and the Runts
zone in the first period, and the Runts were outscored 3-1, their only
goal being a turnover on their blue line resulting in a break away goal.
A goal was scored in the second period and two in the third. Tsevis dominated
the neutral zone but the Runts played tough defensively, being careful to
keep players back and hold us to our lowest scoring point total (although
we've been held to 6 goals three times).
01/18/2003 11:30 PM Hacianda Notes
Tsevis' 11 Notes 6
This games started slow with the first goal being with 3:53 left in the first
period. The rink seemed exceptionally hot given the 10 degree outside temperature
which might explain why both sides were having trouble getting a flow to
the game. After the initial Notes goal, Tsevis' began to generate a little
offense and the period ended 2-1 Tsevis'. The second period proved to be
a disaster, with multiple defensive miscues. The Notes scored 5 goals while
allowing only 4. This tied the score up at 6-6 with just several minutes
left in the second period. Tsevis' took advantage of a scorekeeper's mistake
giving the period two minutes extra time at the beginning of the period,
scoring in the closing seconds of the period to make the score 7-6. In the
third period, the Notes ran out of gas (they had a short bench) and the period
was all Tsevis'. 4 unanswered goals made the final score 11-7 with Kevin
H getting tossed out of the game with 5 minutes left for fighting. The
Notes have a good defense, a goalie who plays really strong at times and
nice uniforms and are better than their record indicates (they almost beat
us the last time we played).

01/10/2003 8:30 PM The Undertakers
Tsevis' 8 Notes 2
Last time we played The Undertakers, they suprised us with a fast start scoring
the first two goals and dominating the early part of the game before we came
back in a big way. This game was similar. The Undertakers, through aggressive
forechecking in Tsevis' zone, were able to score the first goal and take
control of the game initially. However, Tsevis' came back and scored
the next two goals, first period ending 2-1. About halfway through the second
period, Tsevis' scored two goals very quickly, on being a weak one, and this
seemed to slow The Undertakers down. Two more goals in the period made the
score 6-1 after two. In the last period, The Undertakers continued to hustle,
scoring one goal but Tsevis scored to the period with the final score 8-2.
