Tsevis' 6 Notes 2
Tsevis' came to this game with the plan to complete a perfect
season and leave with a 10-0 record. If this was going to happen, it was
going to happen with the absense of 5 players (some scheduled, some
surprises). In the first period victory seemed possible with Tsevis'
taking a 2-0 lead. But in the second, fatigue set in and the Notes
played a physical game shutting down Tsevis' and scoring two goals, the
last being a defensive breakdown, allowing a breakaway with the picker
scoring with two seconds left in the period. The resulting melee
concluded with Joe getting tossed out of the game leaving the tired team
to win the game with one less player (a total of 7). After a
constructive pep talk by the coach, Tsevis rebounded in the 3rd period
with 4 unanswered goals (the scorekeeper may have missed the last
one). This complete Tsevis' 10-0 season, not nearly the first for the
team and not nearly the last. Self congratulations to Tsevis team on
their perfect season.
12/13/2002 10:00 PM Mastercard Chargers
Tsevis' 10 Chargers 4
Tsevis took advantage of weak Charger defense in the first period
to take a 5-1 lead. With only 8 guys on the bench, fatigue set in and
game got sloppy. In period 2 and 3 the goal scoring went 5 Tsevis, 3
Chargers for a 10-4 finish.
12/06/2002 10:00 PM Runts
Tsevis' 13 Runts 5
The Runts were shutout last game and it looked like the same thing
was going to happed this game. Tsevis's took a 5-1 lead in the first
period. However, the Runts played a discipled game of dump and chase
which allowed them to score goals throughout the entire game. However,
sloppy defence on their part kept Tsevis's goal coming in at good pace
the entire game as well.

Tsevis' 8 Fisher's 5
The team responsible for our scariest game (Game #1) tested us
again. Getting on the board, Fisher's scored the first goal taking
advantage of Tsevis' failure to clear the puck out of their zone.
With both teams able to score, the first period ended with the
score 3-3. in the next period, each team scored a goal and the 3rd
period started with the game tied 4-4. Tsevis' got the next goal but
Fisher's once again tied the score at 5-5. In a penalty filled period,
Fisher's seemed to run out of gas, with Tsevis' scoring a short handed
goal and then scoring the next two goals quicky to take an 8-5 lead
which lasted the rest of the game.

11/01/2002 10:00 PM Undertakers
Tsevis' 13 Undertakers 3
This games started out badly for the team. In the first 5 minutes,
the Undertakers took it to Tsevis' and scored the first two goals. It
looked as though the Undertakers had come to play and the game was going
to be tough. We scored the next four unanswered goals. At times, we
played crappy and didn't show much effort but not bad enough to allow
the Undertakers back in the game. On more goal was all they could
muster and the game was called with 3:00 minutes left when things began
to get ugly in the final period.
10/25/2002 8:30 PM Hacienda Notes
Tsevis' 10 Notes 1
This initially looked to be the biggest test for Tsevis' so far.
With the Notes one of the top teams in league, it looked as if they had
brought all of their guns for the early game. Unfortunately for them, so
did we (with the exception of the Basket, but will see if that hurt us
later). Tsevis' scored on the first shift setting the tone for the game
with an early goal. The Notes were not without scoring chances but Bob
Baker was strong in the goal stopping some good Notes chances in the
first and second periods. The first period ended with the score 4-0. In
the second period, Vadim showed up and Joe Masker left (groin pull)
leaving the team with the same number of players it started with. The
Notes scored on a bad change but that was all they would get this game.
Moving Scotty L. back to defense, the Notes were now done. In the third
period, Tsevis' scored two short handed goals in the same shift forcing
the referees to run the clock to reduce the bloodshed. This team was
definately "Titan'd".
10/18/2002 8:30 PM Mastercard Chargers
Tsevis' 7 Chargers 1
Tsevis' played this games with 11 people due to the fact that John
Rourke did not show up. We do know where he was; all we know for certain
is he didn't call (I did find out that later John had told Tsevis he
might not make it. L.Y.). The first period was a stong defensive
showing for Tsevis. There was not one shot on goal for the Chargers in
that period. The Tsevis' offense scored two goals and most of the play
was in the Charger's end. Same results in the second period with
another 2 goals scored. Although the game was played mostly in
Mastercard's zone, their goalie played well and their defense checked
hard to limit the damage to only two goals. In the third period, the
shutout was blown but the Charger's goal was immediately avenged by
Tsevis'. The game ended with two more Tsevis' goals. With this victory,
Tsevis' Pub and Grill moves into first place!
10/11/2002 10:00 PM Runts
Tsevis' 8 Runts 0
This game started slow for Tsevis' but ended up being a 8 goal
shutout. The Runts played tough defense in the 1st period. While most of
the play was in their zone, they had allowed only one goal until with 8
seconds left in the period, Tsevis score with a shot from the high
point an defected into the upper left corner of the goal. That goal
deflated in the Runts and in the second period, Tsevis' started firing
on all cylinders. With Joe Craig substituting for the absent Bob
Baker, the team recorded its first shutout in Brentwood and dominated
the last two periods.
09/28/2002 11:30 PM Fisher's
Tsevis' 9 Fisher's 6
This may be the toughest team in the league. They won the league
last session but went out of the playoffs in the first game. This games
was played in 3 parts which roughly corresponded to the periods. In the
first period, we controlled the game, scoring 3 goals which easily could
have been five. Sloppy play cost us two goals and the first period
ended with the score 3 to 2. The second period was a disaster. Fisher's
scored 4 goals (5 unanswered) and the team looked in bad shape. The
period ended with a 4 minute penalty which carried on into the 3rd
period. Several minutes into the 3rd period, Fishers took a penalty.
Kevin H was moved back to defense for the power play. The power play
resulted in a quick goal and the line stayed out there for another
goal. At this point, the score was 5-6 with about half the period to
play. In the final 5 minutes of the period the tying and go-ahead goals
were scored, with the game ending with an empty net'er for a final
goal.
